About the Doctors

Dr. Richard Meyer, a native South Dakotan and a graduate of the University of South Dakota, graduated with honors from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago and completed his Orthodontic Residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Dr. Meyer practiced almost nine years in the U.S. Military before leaving in 1981 as a Lt. Colonel to return home to South Dakota and the private practice of Orthodontics.

"Dr. Rich" and his wife, Gayla, have three children: Chad, Kirsten and Tyler. His love for his family, his country and God is admired by all who know him.

Dr. Chad Meyer is a Rapid City native who graduated from Stevens High School in 1990. He attended college at the University of Nebraska and graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Dentistry in 1999. After three years as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corp, he began his Orthodontic Residency at Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY, where he graduated in June 2004.

He brings to his work both personal and professional integrity and mixes it with a sense of humor and fun.

"Dr. Chad" and his wife, Dawn, have three children: Carter, Luke, and Daryn.

Dr. Jesse is a native South Dakotan and a graduate of Black Hills State University. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska and was inducted into the Omicron Kapsa Upsilon Alpha Alpha Chapter dental honor society. He then completed his Orthodontic Residency at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Dr. Jesse then moved back home to start his own orthodontic practice in 2003 which has been focused on excellent care for his patients. Dr. Jesse has become known throughout the Hills for his fun and caring attitude toward patients and their families. He has created an atmosphere which is fun, friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Jesse was a first team all-state basketball player at Rapid City Central High School and name the top male athlete of Rapid City his senior year. He then went on to play basketball all four years of college at Black Hills State University where his team made it to the national tournament his freshman year. His team made it to the elite eight in the national tournament his senior year and he was named honorable mention "All-American".

Dr. Jesse was honored with being the Top Academic Male Freshman while at Black Hills State University. His completive nature has continued in his orthodontic treatment in working to achieve the best possible results for his patients as well as maintain the latest in techniques and cutting edge technology.

He is passionate about outdoor activities and enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, bike riding, tennis and racquetball.

A major influence and love in his life is his wife Traci, his one year old daughter Jozie and his four year old son Kooper along with their faith in God.
